You need your old i.d. and birth certificate. Or if it's your first time to apply or it's been expired for a long time (2 years or more) you need birth certificate, social security card and 2 forms of residence verification such as an electric bill and water bill. If those are not in your name I am unsure if what else you can use, I think the person you live with needs to sign something.
