Depends. If you don't have a special case usually online is still available. If you have any special case or issues of any sort usually in person. Even some simple address changes have become special case. I suggest you try on line first and only if the system tells you to come then make an appointment. Class A has been 100% in person and has stealthily contributed to the trucker shortage without attracting attention. That's a shame.
Walk-ins are first come first serve and limited in number. Get there before 7 and you should get a shot at this location. Otherwise you have to schedule a visit. Online it's about 4-6 months away. In person it's sooner if you schedule an appointment at kiosk. Just saying. Also i have met people that said they've been waiting for over a year for their appointments when i tried to do a walk in. Pull up your shorts and strap in because, folks, you're in for quite a bit of a wait no matter how you cut it.
