We were in Niagara Falls about 2 weeks ago. We stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham, about 5 blocks from the falls and a block from the casino. Full hot breakfast every day. We took a Gray line tour, it was well worth it.
Cave of the winds is a good attraction to do while ur there.
Hi Lucy! There are plenty of hotels close by and within walking distance to Niagara Falls State Park including Comfort Inn The Pointe, Hyatt Place, Red Coach Inn, Sheraton Niagara Falls USA, and many others. As for things to do, there is plenty—including the iconic Maid of the Mist boat ride that takes you directly up to the Horseshoe Falls. Please call 1-877-FALLS US to speak to a local expert, and request a complimentary Travel Guide with planning information.
On the American side. I wouldn't say there are any good Hotels in walking distance because the falls are in a national park area. But there are trolleys (green) that are a couple of dollars for the day that pick you up and take you anywhere and (blue) that are free and take you free to different places up to Old Fort Niagara and down. As for boat tours of the falls, the is The Maid of the Mist. So so amazing and gets you so close! It was a must
