Mcdonalds' priority is to make a sale and the drive thru is there to facilitate that objective. Look at it this way and David's harmless prank becomes an act that harms his employer's interest. On top of that, his denial of a customer's ability to purchase, harms that customer's interest. At the end of the day, to ensure the success of one's non standard objective (of making the drive thru experience entertaining) at the expense of the well- established objectives of the employer and customer both of whom one is paid to serve, is neither an act of maturity nor deserving of commendation. What it is, is a Big McMistake.
