With each apple update the software is being reshaped to push the proccessor to new more demanding goals. Also, as standard protocol Apple updates go back in and turn on battery (and memory) burning features as their preferred default for your iphones. The theory behind this is if customers of older devices percieve that their iphone is “wearing out” they will eventually give in and buy a new phone.
