Walk in to the facility. If youre homeless i would bring in id for everyone if you have it. If not i would bring in id for everyone, your lease, and any eviction paperwork you have. Ask for any help they can give. These people are wonderful. I wouldnt be where i am today without them. They were our guardian angels and saviors

If you are in Chicago and at risk of becoming homeless you should call 311. For the suburbs, please call the Homeless Prevention Call Center 877-4-COOK-15 directly to see what programs and services you might be eligible for. They are connected to Housing Forward and all the homeless provider agencies in suburban Cook County and they can discuss assistance and services based on your eligibility and availability of resources or make referrals. Or, you can come to the Entry Point Walk-In Center. The Oak Park office is open Monday, Thursday and Friday 9am-3pm, Tuesday 9am-1pm and 3pm-7pm and Wednesday 9am-1pm for walk-ins. We have case managers on staff there that can help you with her short-term needs or other stability/housing/food services we can help connect you to.
