Use the on staff instructor, JD is very good. U dont need a shotgun but do buy your own ammo. Shoot practice trap, then graduate to skeet field then sporting clays. Warning !! This is very addictive behavior, there is no known cure for it, lots of money seems to help.
They have instructors/private lessons. If you've never shot before there's nothing I can tell you over message you need to be taught from the ground up. However elm fork's staff is amazing and will teach you everything from proper safety to form
