I’ve never heard of a pool being free. Who pays for upkeep? Seems like everyone wants something for free 1.50 is basically free where I’m from its 4-8$

Because there are upkeep costs related to this harsh environment and the workers need to be paid. Public pools being free are the abnormality. In my entire life I've never heard of a free public pool.

I don't know why they charge, but it's new to me too. I'm from upstate NY where it rarely hits 90 degrees and all the public pools are free. I understand your frustration. It makes no sense.

Never heard of a free pool unless it's in your yard
