That's rough. Small family shops can run that way sometimes. Great place though!
Just bad luck. The place is awesome. I suggest giving them another chance.
They are typically open until 8, but it is the holidays. I'd suggest calling and letting a small place like this know you're coming, especially if you're making a 45 minute drive. Privately owned mom and pop place with 1 or 2 employees, hours are a guideline not law.
