I just had to put down my 16 1/2 dog. i have a sweet sweet 7 year old female cat. I think she needs a companion cat. Is that a good idea? What sex and age?

Sorry for your loss...maybe a good idea.l if they were bonded....a kitten might be too active...it really depends on the cat you would adopt...one similar in age and nature I think would work
