Delicious. I don't think I've ever had a bad item from them in the years I've been going there!

Amazing! I had it the first time I ate there and I was awed by everything they brought out!

The "regular omakase" (starts at $60 iirc) is less of an omakase and more of a fixed tasting menu that they've kept constant since opening. If you haven't had it, it's a nice representation of what they can do but it's much more of a kaiseki vibe than a hardcore sushi display. It had some absolutely standout hits and a couple bites I was less excited about (nothing was bad, just couple of "mehs" in there at times). The one thing that really bothered me was courseing/progression of the meal - The starting with rolls and nigiri and ending with sashimi makes little sense to me from any perspective. The other option (can't remember what it's called, maybe "premium omakase" starts in the 100+ range I think maybe 150?) is *unequivocally superb* and I recommend it wholeheartedly. Seasonal, creative, exciting, just an absolute gem when I had it a few months ago. I think I have pics from both times in my review(s) of Kai Zan if you want to look at that. EDIT: Nvm, only pics from the premium

We've been going since they opened and it's always absolutely amazing!

The best. Only way to experience the menu, especially if you have never been!
