I don't think they supply rentals, but I'd recommend taking a basic firearms course and you can learn about different guns there. I'd recommend Red Dot Arms in Lake Villa.
If you're looking for shotgun rentals, Winchester Gun Club in Franksville (east and north just off of I 94 exit K) rents Browning shotguns for use at their venue (trap, skeet, sporting clays and 5 stand).
CCKC does not have rentals -- check out your local Bass Pro shop.
