Whenever you purchase stolen property and it has been reported by the owner, do the police go after the one who sold it to your shop for questioning?

Stolen property is on black list for one year. Yes authorities go after the suspect pawning stolen goods.

Thanks. I had a bass guitar stolen months ago and sold to Atomic Pawn, but the cops can't seem to locate the seller.

I would think so. Esp since you have ptoofof who sold it to the shop. Ex: I.D.s, license, the person on camera selling it to shop etc.
