What is the policy for returning a gift without a receipt?

You take it in, it HAS to be from Wal-Mart. They can tell by scanning your item. With no receipt you just need your ID. They'll give you cash up to a certain amount (I think up to $20) but give you a store card if your item is over that amount.

So far always need to prove the gift was purchased in walmart.
