Put passes are $40 on race day and it's an interesting way to watch the races. Our crew doesn't cook out and I don't think any around us do but there are 2 concession stands in the pits. If you get to the track early, you can sit in the stands for free until about 20 minutes before the stands open.
Not really tailgating.... but if u pay a little extra n get in the pits u can walk around meet all the drivers see all the cars. More than likely someone will offer u a beer or burger and if not there's always the concession stands!!
