When you see a dog listed but it says rescued, what does that mean? Is it the same as adopted?

Most of the time it means it's been rescued outta a bad situation and is up for adoption. They are pretty good at keeping everything updated to show which animals are needing homes

Rescued and adopted are not the same. Adopted animals are ones that are adopted by families. Rescued animals are ones that go to rescue organizations and are no longer available for adoption through the shelter.
