There is a little blinking light right beside the power light, when it is blinking the computer works then all of a sudden it will stop and the computer freezes and won't work. What could be the problem?

Sounds like hard drive is beginning to fail. I would make sure you have a backup and plan for hard drive replacement or computer replacement.
