It's more like a river with a sandy shore. Very nice quiet place. With other things to do. Trails, picnic areas, visitor center.
You can get maps from the main visitor center. But it's about 5 minute slow drive past the visitor center to 1 of 2 parking lots. Both have 5 minute walking trail to the beach that is paved and gravel.
