It's simply her menstrual cycle which indicates her potential to become pregnant. If you do not want puppies, isolate her from all male dogs. Some female dogs feel threatened by another female in heat so complete isolation is a good idea until it's over. If you don't have her spayed (fixed) she will eventually go into heat again and puppies WILL follow if you don't isolate her again.
How many days or weeks does it take for her to stop in her heat cycle and is there a way i can help her in anyway
When a dog is in heat that is the time she can get pregnant.
