Ok so... if I was staying in Westerly and was to want to go to long island/NYC from a "day" trip would this be the wat to do it? By the way I'd be traveling by Motorcycle

The Cross Island Ferry is in fact the best way on motorcycle to go your word all that traffic in the city and it's a nice relaxing ride. And they're Chicago dogs are not bad either LOL

If you want to go to Long Island it's a nice relaxing ride. About 1.5 hours. But it's still another 75-90 miles to NYC. If you want to go to the city 95 or other routes are much faster.

Yes the cross sound ferry would get you to Long Island. Just know you will have to ride a little ways to get to NYC. I would start as early as possible if you're doing just a day trip. Be prepared for traffic the closer you get to NYC.
