Given your description, I'm guessing the place you visited was Hal's Deli on Aurora Street which, unfortunately, is no longer in business. But we'd love for you to try ours (400 N Meadow St or Triphammer Marketplace) and compare.

You probably visited the Ithaca Bakery on Route 13, Meadow Street. They have been around much longer.

They've been open long enough and do have great bread and roast beef but this is probably not the place you visited. This is a local chain.
