If I’m planning on going on the hayride with three kids, youngest being 6, do you think it is too scary?

I think if you decide the haunted hay ride will be fine. You know your children use your best thought. Super fun though. Well worth it

It's scary.

It really depends on the child. That's why it says "not recommended" Our family loves Halloween. I went last night with my mom and sister and kids 6+7 and my 6 yr old was kind of scared at first and we talked about how cool everything was and explained to her why this and that was fake and that this is all a fun scary. Halfway through she really started to enjoy it. My 7 yr old loved it. She literally shrugged at one of the ghouls when he tried to scare her LOL Both of them want to do it again next yr and the 7yr old wants to also do the scarier walking trail next year. I also want to note there no hay bales on the trailers, they have benches.

The costumes were excellent and scary, the people themselves weren't too scary, but they do get on the hayride and walk around which might be scary for a child that young.

I wouldn't put a 6 year old on the hayride. My opinion. Just as much engagement with the characters on the hayride as on the trail. The trail is not recommended for anyone under 12 years.
