Thanks for the clarification. I imagine ricochets are another issue, in addition to the damage to the range itself.
They are considered steel core, but will will allow you to shoot them. As long as you understand that steel core can cause significant damage if it hits anything other than the backstop, and you would be responsible for any damage caused.
If they attract a magnet they're not allowed. It tears up the target holders.
