Hi Rebecca! We are certainly a true no-kill shelter, as Mary mentioned in her response. We are happy to answer any questions you may have, so do not hesitate to reach out if you have any others!

Not only are they no-kill, if you need to bring your animal back to them, it has a home there for life. I got my beloved Rocky the Magnificent (Rollar) there, after he had spent a horrible summer staked out in the backyard and the people finally did the right thing by returning him to DHA. We had 1,113 perfect days before cancer robbed me of him.

They do not kill the animals we rescue them I should know I am a volunteer for the delaware humane association. You all are thinking of the SPCA THEY WILL KILL THE ANIMALS

It's not a true no-kill shelter. They will euthanize Feline Leukemia positive cats but not FIV positive cats. Glad I chose not to euthanize mine as it is now 8 years later and she has never had any issues to this day. I just adopted another Feline Leukemia positive cat from faithful friends so she would have a buddy.

No, they do euthanize animals there

It is indeed a No Kill shelter.
