Campground is between salt marsh, and ocean. The ocean is approximately 150 yards from edge of campground. There are photos and drone footage available if you search for them. You are not camping 'on the beach'. Go to Okracoke Island if you want to camp on the beach.
It's on the beach, with the dunes separating the campsite from the water. There are two walkways to the beach. About 5 minutes. It's a gorgeous site. There is a map on their website.
