Exactly just show your receipt and keep going. I have had that happen at different locations. Obviously it's their policy, no need to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
It has happened to me as well. No crime no worries
If you aren’t stealing then just show the receipt. It’s not an invasion of a person’s privacy. It’s Walmart’s loss prevention policy. The machine is there for a reason. Don’t shop at Walmart if you don’t like their policies. If someone was shoplifting which is against the law why would an innocent person want a thief to get away with breaking the law. Keep the receipt in your hand instead of your pocket or purse in case the machine goes off. It only takes a few seconds to show the receipt and then you can be on your merry way. There are way more important things in this world to get upset about!
Right.. just show receipt and keep it moving
Now I'm wondering why you don't want to show your receipt. Are you the reason shoplifting is so rampant. I don't do anything that I worry about the employees seeing. How about you??
It's not an invasion of privacy. An invasion would be asking why you purchased an item. It's simple loss prevention and if it keeps prices down I'm for it. As for terrible service and employees those are legitimate complaints.
legally they cannot stop you leaving the store, as they have not posted anything stating they would/could-do like i do and continue to walk with your receipt in your hand if they stop ou sue the hell out of them
You really dont have to show your receipt. It is an invasion of your privacy just tell them no you may not. And if they do decide to get ugly and really start to mess with you or call the laws you can file a lawsuit against Walmart and whomever wants to get involved. Good luck.
Tell them no thank you and keep it moving. It,s not a written or corporate policy
I have been to Walmart before and witnessed several."customers" stealing steak. They put the items under their coats and such places in their clothing so they don't have to pay for the items. If they didn't have these preventive methods, the stores would be emptied out in no time flat EXTREMELY QUICKLY. I worked as an employee there. You won't believe what I have observed HAPPENING there in public areas inside and outside the store. WOW.
Legally you dont have to show them anything. I always wave and keep going. If you migrate over to them with your receipt in hand, then thats your fault. Next time, try waving, perhaps tell them to have a nice day.
Be glad there are not walk thought gates at the Camden or Columbia Wal Mart at the entrances! There are in places like Monroe and Charlotte, NC!!!
The only registers open are self service. I drive 25 mikes to Target to avoid this Wally World at all cost! Horrible management, more horrible employees, if u can find one.
I personally havent had to show my receipt at any of the walmarts around my area.
I feel sorry for people like you.
I just pretend to be fully hearing impaired🤫🙃
Do what I do. Throw your receipt in bottom of bag when you check out. Then calmly say it's at bottom of one of these bags as you go out. They will wave you on.
Showing your receipt is actually against the law. Look into it. But like u grin and bare it there your neighbors. I can see products you can not bag. Jan. You will have to bring your own bags.
