We find that healing with studs would be much quicker and easier compared to hoops. We do offer both options as long as you understand the risk of wearing a hoop in the initial piercing.
I chose to follow the advice of Tee she is extremely knowledgeable and won't steer you wrong! I have a stud ( which is healing well) and when it is totally healed I will go back and have Tee change it out for a hoop.
