If he accepts your insurance he is contracturally obligated to follow usual and customary. You will owe whatever your insurance designates as your portion.

Dr. Singletary has always wanted to make periodontal care as available and affordable to as many people as possible. To that end, and as opposed to most other practices, North Raleigh Periodontics collects only the patient portion for procedures. Most others collect 100% up front and file your insurance one time. Additionally, we work very diligently to help patients with their insurance by helping them get estimates if they choose, by writing detailed narratives and clinical notes, and by filing insurance as many times as it takes to encourage insurance companies to do the right thing in providing benefits for patients.
