Minnesota does not require a license or permit to purchase non-Assault style long arms or non-Assault Style shotguns. You simply need to fill out an application for the national background check and, barring any restrictions on you owning a firearm, you are free to purchase and take possession of your rifle or shotgun. You must have a permit to purchase assault-style weapons, typically rifles or shotguns with pistol grips and upper/lower receivers. This can be obtained at your local police department with an application and a decision must be made within one week. If approved, they will mail you your permit and that is what you will present to purchase assault-style weapons. You must be 21 or older to purchase handguns (can be held and operated with one hand). Same process applies as assault-style weapons. A permit to carry a concealed weapon also functions as a permit to purchase a pistol.
If your talking about a carry permit. No. Go to Bills gun shop.
