I'm not a reliable source but I have read many articles on the fact that most food business have the discrepancy of hiking their prices up on Uber Eats and many other food delivery outlets; which Uber has no control of! Instead of charging you the store price it's a way for the business to earn extra income, aside from the taxes and adds on to their own delivery fees! As it's up the discretion of the business I personally feel it's just a way of getting people out of the house and into the store ! Aside from the fact that the prices are cheaper it's better business to have actual warm bodies in the store whether they're dining in or taking out... It creates more business when people see other people in a restaurant lol it usually gets the wheels spinning for boggling minds! It's frivilious but I get the point!

According to a News broadcast a few nights ago...the delivery company adds these extra dollars to cover the costs of the service. There is a proposal in Albany to restrict the amounts that the customer is being charged.
