Great thanks I live in Hempstead so I pay 4.00 and my mom-resident friend pays 8.00?
There are 2 separate rates depending on the individual town you live in within the Town of Hempstead - $8/$4 or $9/$4.50. Queens/Non-Town of Hempstead residents have to be a guest of someone who lives in any of the towns/villages in the Town of Hempstead (West Hempstead, Franklin square, valley stream, Elmont, etc). North shore towns such as Manhasset are in the Town of North Hempstead.
