Is there a place near Hearthstone that sells firewood? I know they have a truck that goes around selling it, but wanted to not get gouged by obscene prices from some yokel in a pickup truck.

Local Stewart's convenience stores sell local firewood, wrapped and dry, about 6 miles into Lake George Village or 6 miles into Bolton Landing

I looked on craigslist and picked up from a local guy. 1/4 cord was $20. I had a near bonfire for 3 nights!

Nearby? Not really. Theres a camp store (Ray's Helova Deli & Stable Gate Deli) to the south and north (respectively) of the campground but they charge about the same except its wrapped on plastic. Best is to drive a little further in wooded residential areas that sell them on the side of the road. More for less.
