I can understand your frustration since there is not a "fit all" word to describe pain. I would recommend a pain diary where you write down time of day pain occurs, any activities that make it worse or better, and the type of pain ( burning, stabbing, etc.) Also location of pain. It's also a big help to have your current test results with you or sent to the doctor. Communicate to the best of your ability all aspects of your pain and how it affects your daily life. It may take a couple of visits for your doctor to figure out the source of your pain and a treatment plan, but it's worth it. My doctor at PRC ( Dr. Giordano) is easy to communicate with and has a talent for getting to the crux of the issue and a way to treat it. If you haven't yet, I would definitely recommend making an appointment to see him.
