These are true statements. Most of the staff could not care less about helping people make a successful transition back into society. The owners have it set up so that if a resident wants to go home with family that they have to pay them.
You are right. The name is hopeless village.
Al Pay, Honestly your comment is not necessary. Be thankful that your family members are so perfect to not have to go to any of these facilities. But be humble enough to keep your comments to yourself. Not everyone has a perfect bringing up. I know people in high positions that has made wrong choices in their lives and never got caught. I know people that has done things that wasn’t the right thing to do because they did to protect others or even help family. I am not perfect and never want to be but I am humble enough to except that the world is imperfect. And I will definitely try to help others because that is just what the kind hearted person to do. So have a blessed day and hope you continue to grow in God’s love😇😇😇
To all those who have experienced living here or places like it, what worked? But, most importantly what would have worked better for you? What needs to change to make transitions positive and effective?
I was housed in hope village between august 2017 to December 2017. For starters all of us needed to attend useless and redundant classes in which we already took during our prison stay. As to the staff many were subpar individuals who didn't help us as to our improvements while at this facility. I will say the best was the kitchen staff who prepared our meals at a low budget mami g the best out of their resources. As to the professional staff on duty I must say they themselves belong in prison themselves. I personally wouldn't recommend any individual to go to a halfway house ,but finish put out your time in the federal prison that your in!!! Number 17261-084 .
