Yes.. thats the perfect age group for the museum.
Theres a kids room dedicated to building - usually Legos and then oversized bricks - which should appeal to that age group
Very great for kids of all ages and adults.
Always fun, interesting exhibits for children
Yes, I was there with a 9 & an 11, the younger had more fun with the available children's rooms, the older one was less enthused.
Yes. There is a space for children activities!
Yes it is
I don't have kids but notice that the museum usually has a few kids-oriented things going for it. First, it's really about building stuff, living spaces and the creativity that goes into them. Very physical world, with a lot of attention to play. They generally seem to dedicate at least some exhibits to the kidly side of that. Further, the museum shop is sort of renowned in DC for it's nifty creative toys, as well as architecture and anthropology books. I see all this as a consequence of an architecture focus, which inherently includes a rare combination of technical and creative disciplines.
My 8 year old loves it!
Yes, but you have to pay for a wristband for those rooms. Welcome to tour for free.
Yes , that's the best age
Yes there's quite a few things for children that age to do! Areas for them to do hands on activities while learning and building
Yes, there are always kid centered things to do here!
