Lake Ashby has an area of 1,192 acres or 1.86 square miles. It is a shallow saucer-shaped lake with wide sandy beaches in a pine flatwoods region. The average depths in the central area during the period of stay were five to six feet. The water stage was moderately low.
We just hike there. It has a wooden boardwalk that goes across the left side of lake. Nice, easy hike, we have been taking our grandson hiking there since 2yrs old. It also had a playground, bathrooms and picnic areas
