It could be a nod towards diversity and a stand-out from hipster hangouts. But in their defense last fall they tore down the old building and put in a new building with outside seating, an indoor fireplace, parking, a drive through open until 2am (even hipsters enjoy late night fast food after a night of craft beer and non-alcoholic cocktails).
Wendy's opened over 20 years ago in that location before 5 Points became a hipster hangout. It is part of the community now.
Well it really is a stand-out...as odd, in an interesting part of town where many LOCAL establishments are in business.
