Years ago the beach was open to the public and the Caretaker would come by and collect $2 from all . He and his many kids kept the beach clean on both sides of the lighthouse. Both sides were open but the north side was better beach and fishing. My Dad and I would carry rods, rod holders, tackle and food to a spot about 200' from the lighthouse then my job was to collect firewood and start a fire. As we would usually get there in the afternoon , and after I got enough firewood, I always had time to walk the beach and make it to Calvert Cliffs where there was always fossils, shark teeth, porpoise teeth and even whale teeth and bones. Although you cannot fossil hunt near the cliffs any longer , the beach was fair game and I ALWAYS got back to camp with a pocket full of sharks teeth. I had hundreds of them ! Some so tiny you could barely recognize them and a few as big as my fist. Some great shells and driftwood were plentiful as well. Now,only the homeowners have limited access.

Agree with above feedback, fishing is likely not allowed, it's surrounded by a fence and the surrounding neighborhood is all private drives with no trespassing signs.

There is no beach access from the lighthouse and the rest of the beach is privately owned with strict no trespassing enforcement.

I dont think so. It's completely surrounded by a fence, so there is no beach access. The surrounding community is a private community with no parking, so you'd. Have difficulty anywhere within walking distance. There is a park not far down the road. That might be your best bet
