Not really, There is alot of wildlife in the area including snakes of all kinds, gators, deer, wild hogs, squirrels, raccoons etc... It is a quiet place to just get away from the city for a few hours for an adult. For a small dog the grass is tall, I would not take the chance with my little guy. I hope this helped you.
