I heard that also...good for duffs...for some unknown reason..they allow dogs in Lowe's that's insane in itself..but an animal in a restaurant..come on.how crazy is this world getting..even a service dog..leave the dog home and bring a friend..I'm going to duffs tonight in support of their decision
All service dogs are by law allowed to enter any restaurant with their owner. Just the other day we had 2 service dogs at Duff's. One was fully trained and one was in training. True service dogs are needed by their owners and we have signs stating that they are welcomed. A true service dog is so highly trained that most other patrons will never even notice them sitting/laying by their owner. It's not just vision impaired and wheelchair people that rely on these dogs but numerous vets who suffer PSTD. Comfort dogs are NOT service dogs.
Noone wants dog hair floating around while they eat. If you can't eat without your dog- get take out. It's rather simple. We have 2 dogs, one of which is a service dog and never have I thought of it as acceptable to bring either one to the restaurant with me...
I used to manage a restaurant in a small town. 9 times out of 10 those people are complete douchebags, have zero respect for the restaurant, its patrons and its employees. Maybe it was just the town I lived in. Theyd also threaten to sue if you refuse them. What about people with allergies? Then you have dog hair floating around. I had customers leave because they guy had his dog sitting across the table from him, eating off the table.
Honestly the first i heard of the manager refusing one of our vets service. If this is true, Duffs should be ashamed, along with anyone else who would have a problem with it.
According to my uncle who was there at the time yes
