By regulation/law (not sure if law technicially) food cannot be warm that is paid for with foodstamps. of course, there are a lot of loopholes (like buying sushi or cold subs at grocery stores) that accept foodstamps but technically as soon as the food is heated it cannot be paid for with snap. i'm sure there are some places, like smaller places, that bend these rules that sell groceries and do takeout stuff just like some places will "buy" your stamps at 50 cents on the dollar, though none of it is allowed.
