Just bought gift boxes with cheese for Christmas gifts. Do they need to be refrigerated until then?

Cheese doesn't technically need to be refrigerated, but doing so will preserve the freshness (especially over a few weeks). You'll maybe have noticed that this establishment actually uses the freezer for some of their cheeses, which is also an option, but can degrade the quality of the cheese once it's thawed.

If you purchased the items from the refrigerated cased then I would definitely keep them refrigerated.

All the stuff I've bought there needed to be refrigerated, but I 'D give them a call and make sure.

Just call and ask, they can tell you....

If they were refrigerated when you bought them I would say yes. I know that some places sell shelf stable packaged cheeses that you buy not refrigerated (like Hickory Farms), so if thats the kind you bought, then you probably don't need to refrigerate. I cant recall this place selling shelf stable cheese tho, so maybe pop your gifts the fridge just to be safe! Good luck!
