How long does it take to receive permanent driver's license when applying from out of state? Is the temporary license issued upon passing test considered an acceptable photo ID? We need to fly with DL as our ID on 12/26/18.

I think they said 2 or 3 weeks but they sent me mine in about 5 days. Can't say yours will be that fast because they have been having a lot of computer trouble lately.

It could take up to 45days to receive. I believe your able to use the temporary through security but I've heard they give you extra scrutiny like a pat down and such. I'd call ahead and see if there is anything else you can bring to help speed it along. You do recieve your VOIDED out of state license back. That might help as a supporting document. Good luck!
