Not 72 hours. After 72 hours your case is reviewed by the Psych team. Then they decide if you need further treatment. And in most cases, you do. If you follow the rules and act normal you will be there for approximately 5 to 7 days. I've seen people there for 4 months but they were very sick people. Good luck and God bless.

depends on their behavior once admitted. if they go to group activities, take their meds and act like a grown up the stay is rarely more than 7 to 10 days. If they come in and act like a wild animal it can be up to 3 months
