They change doctors on me every year or two so my doctors never know me that well. This leads to situations like a doctor misinforming me when I need prior authorization for a vital medication and then leaving the practice and my insurance not covering a medication I’ve taken every night for over a decade, and then I have no prescribing doctor to talk to. Even when I have a doctor, Penn makes it impossible to communicate with them directly, and the people that do pick up at the desk don’t properly relay important messages like refill requests or appointment scheduling. The therapists that take Medicare at Penn are a joke. Doctors often force patients to come in for appointments at inconvenient times. Awful customer service. Only bright spot is that the doctors and NPs that I temporarily have from year to year are adequate at their jobs. But I’ve seen seven different people in the 10 years I’ve received care at Penn, not by my choice.

Claudia Baldassano prescribed me Ativan knowing I had an addiction history with benzodiazepines.

Yes. I see a psychiatrist here and a therapist that's not with Penn elsewhere.
