Along with it's 1901 history, a high hand in poker represents a fabulous hand, desirable hand, so it conjures up the idea that this is your best one stop nursery and Cafe, but in 1901 it was the best location to get your fruit.

The name came from the High Hand Fruit Shed that was built there as a packing and distribution point for local farmers in 1926. The property and business began in 1901 as the Loomis Fruit Growers Association. Their website has a history section with some other fun facts.
