Why don't the barist ask this question All the time: What kind of milk would you like for your drink....? Sometimes I forget to request Soy Milk and then I have to order again!!!! Just My Wish!!!!! Lol

There are a few choices and youre right they should ask but since they dont its on you to order exactly what you want the 1st time.

Here's one pretty obvious reason to your cashier that might not be obvious to you, because I do the same thing, forget soy all the time... Starbucks has lots of different milks: soy, almond, coconut, 2%, fat free, half and half, and heavy cream. If they asked everyone what kind of milk they wanted, there would be stabbings in line because the next question asked by customer would be "what are my options?" And that would happen with an insanely large number of people so you'd then be wondering why we are giving options when people should just know what they want if it's different from the norm. It's a lose lose for your cashier/barista

I guess they figure you know what you want. On the app it give the option.

I have been in few that asked, I think was mostly in oceanside but yeah I know it's my call! It's Only A WISH! !!!! :)

Some do most don't because unless you use the different kinds of milk in your own drink I don't think they think about asking

Good question I don't know the answer other than maybe they have to remember how all the Charmaine every specific order something like milk should be something that we should remember to make the request that's why it's called a special request.
