A .22 calibur for sure. They're low-powered, almost no recoil, and a LOT of fun to shoot. They have some cool, futuristic looking .22's on the market too. Have fun, be safe!
.22LR come in pistols and rifles of all kinds. Depends on what you want to shoot, but that's the caliber to go with if you want something easy to handle. For a little more kick, try a 9mm like the classic Glock 17.

I would recommend shooting something chambered for .22LR, as that will give the least recoil
