I would call and ask first. If it hasn't been opened I wouldn't see why they wouldnt.
Typically it depends what it is, alot of times they will only swap things out for another item. Don't typically do cash refunds. A receipt would help for sure. It's my mom's/family's store so I can't give you a definite answer, just going by when I worked there... Typically they're willing to work something out. Hempies has a facebook, just make sure you're messaging the cape store and not the one in Oregon. They reply pretty quick I can promise you that. You should receive an answer within 12 hours for sure if you message them on Facebook. If not they open at 11 am tomorrow and you can call them!
