I was there on the 20th and they were still at the good amount of good amount of them it's better to go when there is warm weather because they're actually active so try to make sure it's a sunny day otherwise they just sit in the trees on a cold overcast day
We were there on the 11th and we didn't see to many of them
Not sure. I was there 2 weeks ago and they were there but not in bunches
Definitely come Feb 2 as we celebrate Western Monarch Day in California. Numbers have declined but still plenty to see.
Like many mentioned, if the washer is warm, you can still see some. November is best. We hope they increase next year.
I had visited 2.5 weeks ago; and was disappointed to see very few. Further, every visitor that day had the same kind of experience; because, in the past, the monarchs were plentiful. There has been a decreasing number in monarchs seen at the cove over the past years. At the same time, there are telescopes installed near their habitat; it's free, and you can get as glimpse of their beauty, in small groups.
